Employment Solutions is seeking candidates for a Data Entry/Customer Service position for a growing company located in Binghamton, NY.

The Data Entry/Customer Service employee is required to have strong written and verbal communication skills, must operate within the context of carefully guarded legal and ethical guidelines, while paying attention to detail and merchant response to ensure the message is consistent, driven, and productive.

This position requires strong customer service skills, proficiency with computers to update and maintain the client s merchant/group database, perform research regarding merchants currently and to be published in the client s advertising platforms, to send and receive advertisements, agreements and other materials, and attention to detail to ensure legal accuracy.
Essential Functions of the Job Receive agreements from sales representatives and determine if an agreement is complete and qualifies for acceptance. Transfer information from Merchant Agreements into database, transferring information into corresponding fields using Style Guide, for use by design team. Using current standards, determine and vet offers based on strength into corresponding programs and apply these to database for use by design team. Enter the agreement into the computer, verifying locations for accuracy, and map locations into corresponding market areas. Call/Email merchants to welcome them to the program and verify their title for accuracy. Update Enterprise system as necessary with any changes in information. Upload/scan artwork provided with the agreement. File agreements as necessary. Determine commission values based on current commission schedule. Ensure all steps are completed in a timely manner to be sent to manager for commission approval. Other Duties As Assigned Proofread Advertisements/Books Review individual advertisements and full books of advertisements for accuracy in representing the merchant agreement, spelling, artwork, etc. Provide accurate correction documents to design department and update Enterprise system with changes. Review Books for Printing Review books, covers and indexes before they are approved to print. Minimum Qualifications Basic computer skills, tech-savvy a plus. Working knowledge of creating and manipulating spreadsheets. Familiarity with Google Docs, Sheets and Drive a plus! Excellent communication skills. Professional attitude and demeanor. Ability to work independently and stay on task. Attention to detail. Ability and willingness to work significant overtime based on the volume of incoming agreements, especially throughout the busy season from April through August. Overtime may require some late nights and Saturdays from time to time. Physical Demands Light physical effort required. Regularly required to sit or stand, and reach and bend.
